National Geographic chose Higgins Lake as one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. Today at over 10,000 acres, Higgins Lake affords great boating, fishing, scuba diving and snorkeling. The swimming is extraordinary with crystal clear water, sandy beach, private dock and boat anchors for our guests. The cottage property has been owned by the family for 5 generations with great history.

Higgins Lake is 100 miles South of the Mackinaw Bridge, gateway to the Upper Peninsula,  within one hour of Hartwick Pine State Park with some of the states largest virgin pines, close to the  Ausable River, a canoeist's and trout fishermen's Dream,   minutes away from the Michigan State Firemen's Memorial and a host of local attractions.
